About Eric
Eric started training physically when he was 20 years old. In the first year, he lost 85 pounds. In the years since, he has put on 40 pounds, most of it muscle. The discipline it takes to live a healthy life physically is a picture of the discipline it takes to live a strong spiritual life. 1 Timothy 4:8 tells us that it is good to exercise and work on our physical bodies, but that it is much, much better to exercise our spiritual bodies. Paul, Peter, and the writer of Hebrews all emphasize the importance of growing spiritually so that we are no longer spiritual babies, drinking only milk. It is much better to be spiritual bodybuilders, and the spiritual disciplines are our protein shakes. From his perspective and the perspective of really old people, Eric Braswell is really not all that old, and he keeps himself young-looking by not smiling. Eric has a beautiful, young-looking wife (who smiles), and three children who actually are very young and smiley.
