Jeremy Camp: Reckless

Wed, 20 Mar 2013 - 10:22 AM CST

Jeremy Camp RecklessJeremy Camp is back for the seventh time with his new album, Reckless. Although this album is produced by Andy Dodd, who also produced some of Jeremy's earlier albums, including Stay and I Still Believe, they did not rest on his earlier musical success. For example, for the chorus of "Reckless," where in previous albums they would have brought in heavy guitar, this time they let the piano do the rock part--a musical first for Jeremy. The effect is a sound more raw that is no less rocking.

Thematically Reckless remains true to what Jeremy Camp fans would expect. It is a pop-rock worship album born from Jeremy's personal experiences with God. You will be encouraged and challenged, reminded of God's love and called to act upon that great love.

Pros: Strong lyrics, quality music, worshipful.

Cons: No real surprises.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
